Special Mom & Grandma

We look at you and see a walking miracle.
Your unfailing love without limit, your ability to soothe our every hurt,
the way you are on duty, unselfishly, every hour, every day,
makes us so grateful that we are yours, and you are ours.
With open arms and open heart, with enduring patience and inner strength,
you give so much for us, sometimes at your expense.
You are our teacher, our comforter, our encourager, appreciating all, forgiving all.
I know that everything we are today relates to you and your loving care.
We gaze in wonder as we watch you being you—
our miracle, our mother and grandmother.

Happy Birthday to a very special Mom & Grandma

sharing, family and GG

It was the first year in a few years that we have not been in Lake Tahoe with my family. We have missed Thanksgiving with The Steins for a few years now and we were long overdue. With my parental unit in Nicaragua this year we were able to have a “Stein” Thanksgiving. We went to my MIL’s house, you know the MIL I always talk about. The one I love so much and you all think I am crazy. LOL. YEP… that one. Aunt Mary was there and they made all of our favorites. We had every traditional food you could think of and it was oh so yummy! The babies sat at the dinner table with us and of course made us all laugh, them just eating, which in itself is funny to watch! It was just us, my MIL, Aunt Mary, Uncle Les & cousin Cody (which Kaidin was over the moon about-see photo below, because cousin Cody is COOL). We are so very lucky to have such a great family who are all so loving and generous with everything they do. When I asked Kaidin at the dinner table what he was grateful for he said: sharing, family and GG. *tear* He misses his GG so much. This is our 1st holiday without her. Here is a photo of GG with the kids… We love you GG…

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and we are feeling so blessed. Here are some photos from today. We hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving… xo

Happy Thanksgiving...

Were having a Christmas Giveaway

over at

make sure to stop by...

COUNT DOWN Clothes Pin Line

Our COUNT DOWN Clothes Pin Line is DONE…

I was on one of my favorite blogs, which most of you are familiar with and if you are not you must start to follow… can you guess who it is? Yep… It’s Jen over at

She had a blog titled “Great Ideas – Holiday Edition {1}” which you can find here:
http://tatertotsandjello.blogspot.com/2010/11/great-ideas-holiday-edition-1.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+blogspot%2FOivM+%28Tatertots+and+Jello%29

Which had a link to Download the free printables on the bags @ “it is what it is”.
You can find them here:
http://bethproudfoot.blogspot.com/2010/11/countdown-to-christmas.html

I just bought plain old brown lunch bags and filled them with fun stuff like this:

I made 25 custom coloring pages just for him each day with his name trace printed so he can trace (he is learning how to print his name).
Comment me if you would like a set with your child’s name emailed to you.

I added ONE CARS sticker in each bag so that he can add it to his calendar in his room.

(Comment me if you would like this emailed as well)
Then I stapled them shut and hung them with bamboo clothes pins from twine high enough for my little monster not to reach them until it was time…
He is so excited to open his first bag…
Happy Holidays…

SILHOUETTE giveaway

WOW... You have to check out this giveaway going on with Jen at

The giveaway is a SILHOUETTE!

Jen wrote:
The Silhouette-SD is the niftiest little gadget -- it connects to your computer just like a printer, but instead of printing designs it cuts them with a small blade. My favorite part -- it comes with the software to create your own designs. You can also cut out any font on your computer -- isn't that fabulous?? No more cartridges!!! And also -- the Silhouette is Mac and PC friendly. AWESOME!

This little machine can do so many things!
You can make gifts with vinyl, create t-shirts and pillows with the Heat Transfer material, etch glass, make cards, magnets -- plus more!
Yep... it's true... check it out and enter...

Project LOVE 2010

This year for our families “Project LOVE” we dropped off 55 handmade picture frames
today to the Mission Hospital NICU where Miya & Bode were born.
It was so weird walking back up to the NICU after all these months.
We made picture frames that the NICU nurses could add the babies photo to
and send down to the family’s hospital room when they were unable to visit their baby or babies. They did this for us and we were forever grateful and felt very loved during such a difficult time. Wishing all of the NICU families a Happy Holidays… xo

Happy Thanksgiving 2010

I saw this really cute idea (which makes me giggle every time I look at them) with the tutorial and links to the little Indians on one of the BLOG's I follow in the past couple weeks. I saved the links to the little Indians and was going to link you back to “the BLOG” and now I can’t find which BLOG it was. I am so disappointed. If you know please give me a shout out so that I can give them the credit. Kaidin had so much fun. I printed out the little Indian people and he colored them. As I don’t have the link anymore you can also Google “Indian mom, dad, ect coloring pages photos” a bunch will pop up. You have the kids color them and then just cut them out, add your photos and a few feathers and a kickstand and then you will have your happy little family…

Happy Thanksgiving from The Stein Family 2010

POOP & Spiders oh my!

While the hubby is away at work he seems to always ask: what do you do all day??? Well hunny, here are just a couple of the fun activities that the kids and I partake in…
OH... why YES that is POOP all over (only showing parts) Bode's crib. This is what I found when waking him from nap time. Although for safety reasons I can not show you what "he" looked like as I had to capture him from his POOP infected finger painting masterpiece of a crib and run without puking to the tub to wash every inch of his tubby buns! OH What??? You don’t do this??? Always a good time had at my house…
While rescuing Bode from his crib I was summoned by Kaidin in a frantic call for help in his room. I ran with camera in hand, from capturing the POOP photos, all to find this DUDE on Kaidin bed. NICE! He was super slow and posed for this photo right before I stunned him with Kaidin’s fire hat then flushed him down the toilet… then after making sure hazmat was clean from my house due to Bode we all went on a spider hunt. I will say it again: Always a good time had at my house…
can't wait for tomorrow... tee he he...
