Just another morning in the life with twins… It started with playing aka eating dirt from the backyard. Miya was in denial but I could tell she was pretty much lying.

Then as it was so hot I filled the water play table and as you can see it was a success. Always following the rules and using toys as they should… Yep those are my “going by the book” kids.

Until tomorrow…

Best Friends Forever

So many good things come in pairs.

Like ears and socks and panda bears.

But best of all are sets of twins

with extra laughter, double grins.

There's so much fun in having two

With twice as many points of view.

So much alike forever links.

And yet they're also quite distinct.

They share a birthday and a name.

But moods and tempers aren't the same.

Although at times they may dispute.

Their loyalty is absolute.

From days of youth till life is done.

It's one for both and both for one.

We're all quite novel and precise.

But special folks --

God made them twice.

she hunted Bode down...

This morning was a rough one for Bode and Miya. Bode kept taking toys from Miya (which they do on a daily basis) BUT Miya had had enough so she hunted Bode down to BITE him! Super hard!! AND she won’t let her bite go until we get over to them to break it up. Poor guy he has so many bites all over him.  She spent a few minutes today on the naughty spot but as you can see after the tears wore off she was all smiles.

They LOVE eachother or HATE eachother BUT will forever be BEST FRIENDS...

WOW... where does the time go...

Wow, I cannot believe that the twins are now two. Two years ago today I was blessed with these two little precious miracles. Where oh where does the time go. They grow up way to fast.

We started our birthday morning out with muffins...

and... tonight we went to dinner at

We had a great time and were joined by awesome family.

Without a doubt they are always there and so loving and caring. We are so thankful for them.

The kids had such a good time as you can see in all the photos…

We never thought this day would come...

We cannot believe that this DAY has come. The DAY when the babies are no longer in weekly therapy.  We can’t tell you what this means or how it makes us feel. They have been going the last year and a half every week.  We feel so blessed to have had Tony & Laura in our lives and what they have done for the twins. I wasn’t able to get a picture with Laura on the last day but I did get one today with Miya’s “Tony”.  They will be so missed. They have become a part of our family and will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

Miya rocked that outfit

Today we walked little brother to school and stopped at the park before for a picnic lunch and then stopped off on the way back to play. YEP, it’s true, you are seeing it correct:  Miya rocked that outfit that was ONLY meant to be worn IN the house. She’s loving her polka dot baby legs!  

Tommy Lee vs. Bode ???

Well today Bode got a new little tattoo with special thanks to his little sister! He had pinned her down ONE TOO MANY times and so she BITE him, leaving what may be a permanent bite mark that resembles LIPS. So I was thinking… Bode, are you trying to say something? All I could think of hi my head was Tommy Lee and those lips on his neck & wrist (exhibit 2). … When I asked Bode what happened he made this bite face for the picture (exhibit 1). SHES so BUSTED!

duct tape diapers

This morning Miya was having a little trouble listening to mommy.

She really wanted to take off her diaper and run around without one on.

This is not the first time she has done this.

I would tell her NO, and then put the diaper back on and we played the “streaking game”

while she laughed and laughed. So, on went the pants…

and then those would soon be flying across the room followed by her diaper again.

Bode watched very carefully on how Miya was doing

what he thought was such a “cool” thing and he felt as if he needed to join the fun.

Well mommy got sick of playing the “NO NO keep your pants on game” and thought

she would duct tape the diapers on backwards!

Well after getting out the tape and taping the first piece the babies

also thought this was “FUN” so we then made duct tape diapers

(and Miya a ruffle duct tape top as well to match her ruffle bottoms).

BUT THEN… they found out they couldn’t get them off and the FUN turned into MAD…

So being the nice good mommy I am I took photos before taking

them off and dressing them head to toe in one piece clothing…

Always a good time at our house…

afternoon nap = again whats with the shelf?

Hmmm… I am starting to see a pattern here.

She crawled up to the 2nd shelf for her nap again.

This time Bode was just too tired so instead of

sleeping in his bed he took his pillow and slept on the floor under the bookshelf Miya was on.

Miya decided today to clear her toys off her bookshelf and crawl up to the highest one (only 2 shelves high) and take her nap.

She slept this way for almost 2 hours.

Until Bode just couldn’t take it anymore and was messing with her waking her up on the shelf. He didn’t want to take his nap today, so he played while she slept.

I swear our kids have beds but this little DIVA likes her own shelf…

Bode ate all of his

This morning Bode ate all of his yogurt & granola, banana and oranges faster than everyone else in the family (shocking I know) so I gave him a few cinnamon fiber oat O’s to keep him happy while everyone else finished breakfast. While he was content and not whiney or crying he sat staring at his sister as if he was deprived and not given enough food. He wasn’t complaining but they already have this thing where they just “look” at each other and they connect on some level no one else knows. So after a few minutes of Bode batting his little fat eyelashes at his sister she caved… She decided to share her yogurt with him and was actually feeding him by herself. He was so happy and grateful to her, you could see it on his little smiling face. The LOVE they have for each other is so special and we can’t wait to watch the 3 of our children grow up to be the special kind hearted,

grateful little monsters they are… wishing everyone a great day…

Today at nap time Bode crawled into Miya’s bed with her and took his nap.

I guess they thought they could throw a little New Years Party all by themselves.
