Mothers Day

Tonight my mom & I celebrated Mother’s Day as she was out of town last week. My mom, Miya & I went shopping for our annual “Mother daughter” luncheon that we host every year and then we were off to dinner at PF Changs. It was a great day/night. Miya gets so excited to be out with the girls and away from her brothers, even thought I know she secretly loves being bullied and pushed around by them while yelling “no” every 5 minutes.
We all had a great time, I love spending time with my mom.
Happy Mother’s Day Mom, I love you.

she hunted Bode down...

This morning was a rough one for Bode and Miya. Bode kept taking toys from Miya (which they do on a daily basis) BUT Miya had had enough so she hunted Bode down to BITE him! Super hard!! AND she won’t let her bite go until we get over to them to break it up. Poor guy he has so many bites all over him.  She spent a few minutes today on the naughty spot but as you can see after the tears wore off she was all smiles.

Stitches are OUT!

Yippy… we went in to see the wonderful, caring, loving, funny, mean when he has to be, crazy, sports fanatic, goofy, smiling Dr. Lin today.  Kaidin was so happy to finally see him. He doesn’t really understand what happened to Dr. Lin and or where he has been but we tried to explain it more on the way home. Either way at dinner tonight he told his dad how happy he was to see him today and how happy and great he looked and how he took out his stitches without hurting and that he had a really cool rad line on his head still (oh out of the mouth of a 5 year old). I just love how much he cares about people.  He has the biggest heart. He never mentioned any of that to me at the doctor’s office, he took it all in and told his daddy.  We feel so blessed to have Dr. Lin as our friend and Pediatrician and look forward to the many years to come.
AND out came the stitches…

City of Hope’s Spirit of Life Celebration

Tonight we had the privilege to attend Universal Studios Hollywood where they welcomed the Azoff World Tour, the City of Hope’s Spirit of Life Celebration.
The event was to honor Shelli and Irving Azoff with the 2011 Spirit of Life award. I can’t tell you how much FUN we had at such an amazing event.

Everything in the entire park was free.
All restaurants, sweet stations and Wolfgang Catering were placed throughout the park.
The program was held first at the Gibson Amphitheater and then the park was opened for this private event.
Darren Criss (GLEE) and the Warblers opened for the Eagles:

Later Kaidin had his picture taken with him in line for the Simpsons ride…
The Eagles were amazing…
(I didn't get a good close up photo but found this one online from the event)
Billy Bush was the Host…
They also had a special kid’s concert held at a stage in the park.
Kevin Jonas was the Host of that Concert.
Cody Simpson performed…
Big Time Rush performed…
Kaidin had his photo taken with so many characters. He was having a blast.

We also saw Actor Forest Whitaker and Keisha Whitaker
while playing games in the arcade section…

Happy Mothers Day...

OK… just going to tell it like it is… WE WERE ALL POOPED today. We had an AMAZING night out at an event last night (photos coming soon) and Mike, myself, my MIL and Kaidin were exhausted today. I took so many photos last night I didn’t even get the camera out today.  Now that’s how you really know I am tired. I had a great day with my family & my MIL. I got to sleep in followed by ALMOST bed in breakfast (I woke up as it was being made), we hung out and took naps and then went to Claim Jumper for an early dinner to celebrate mine and my MIL’s Mother’s Day.  Thank you for such a special day. To my mommy, I missed you today but I know we will celebrate when you return from your trip. Happy Mother’s Day to all the beautiful mommies out there…  Here is my gift from Kaidin. I LOVE when he writes things in his own words.

Ranger Danger vs. bed fall & racetrack = 3 stitches

I’m telling you Ranger Danger is the nickname for a reason. My poor little man! He is such a boys boy, a man’s man… I mean he is one tough little cookie. Tougher than his mommy I know that for sure. Tonight about 2:30am we heard a crash and then a scream and lots of crying. Mike ran into his room as he knew he fell out of bed but then I heard Mike screaming for me and I knew something was wrong. When we flipped the light on poor little Kaidin was back up on his bed with no idea he had blood dripping from his face, he was just holding it and said it hurt. Once he saw it he was freaking out as so was I. I wasn’t such a long gash as a deep one.  When I became a mommy I had to step it up and not be such a sissy but I MUST say the sight of blood and my child screaming makes me queasy! Luckily I married the worlds calmest under control daddy around.  While I panicked, got dressed and called my mom to meet me at the ER, yes at 2:30am, he stopped the bleeding as much as possible and got him dressed. Then off we went. Kaidin was a smiles. Honestly he is such a brave, loving, sincere little guy!
Here are some pictures off before and after.
Here is to happy, fast and scar less healing.  One can only hope right!?!?
I love you little man…
