but the white kitchen table was so much more fun… WELL, that’s until mommy BUSTED me!

Just for this morning, afternoon, evening & today...

Just for this morning, I am going to smile when I see your face and laugh when I feel like crying. Just for this morning, I will let you choose what you want to wear, and smile and say how perfect it is. Just for this morning, I am going to step over the laundry and pick you up and take you to the park to play. Just for this morning, I will leave the dishes in the sink, and let you teach me how to put that puzzle of yours together. Just for this afternoon, I will unplug the telephone and keep the computer off, and sit with you in the backyard and blow bubbles. Just for this afternoon, I will not yell once, not even a tiny grumble when you scream and whine for the ice cream truck, and I will buy you one if he comes by. Just for this afternoon, I won't worry

about what you are going to be when you grow up, or second guess every decision I have made where you are concerned. Just for this afternoon, I will let you help me bake cookies, and I won't stand over you trying to fix them. Just for this afternoon, I will take us to McDonald's and buy us all Happy Meals so you can all have the toys.Just for this evening, I will hold you in my arms and tell you a story about how you were born and how much I love you. Just for this evening, I will let you splash in the tub and not get angry. Just for this evening, I will let you stay up late while we sit on the porch and count all the stars. Just for this evening, I will snuggle beside you for hours, and miss my favorite TV shows. Just for this evening when I run my finger through your hair as you pray, I will simply be grateful that God has given me the greatest gift ever given. I will think about the mothers and fathers who are searching for their missing children, the mothers and fathers who are visiting their children's graves instead of their bedrooms. The mothers and fathers who are in hospital rooms watching their children suffer senselessly and screaming inside that little body and when I kiss you goodnight I will hold you a little tighter, a little longer. It is then, that I will thank God for you, and ask him for nothing, except one more day…

Dr. Lin to the RESCUE... yes please...

Today was supposed to be a super fun day as we went to lunch with one of our best friends Karlie whom we had not seen in a while. We went to

And while we were waiting for our table Miya was holding my hand and jumping up and down being silly. All of the sudden she started screaming and crying and not using her right arm. This had happened one time before, but on her left arm, it was on the weekend and we ended up in the ER. Her elbow had popped out of socket and they just put it right back in and she was all smiles. I JUST KNEW that’s what had happened again. You know with my luck my Pediatricians office is closed for an hour for lunch and it just so happened to be the START of that hour. She had stopped crying and was smiling and eating her lunch one handed. It was so sad. As soon as the office opened I called and they said to bring her in. Just ONE MORE reason I LOVE our Pediatricians office. Well it never fails Dr. Lin came to the rescue again, he popped it right back in and she was a happy little camper. We love him, there are one million reasons why but to pretty much sum it up he is just a totally RAD, amazing, incredible, silly, unique, caring, loving kid inside a grown up doctors body! We love you Dr. Lin…

dirt & water

Just another morning in the life with twins… It started with playing aka eating dirt from the backyard. Miya was in denial but I could tell she was pretty much lying.

Then as it was so hot I filled the water play table and as you can see it was a success. Always following the rules and using toys as they should… Yep those are my “going by the book” kids.

Just another day in the life…

Tonight at dinner Bode kept pointing at his nose saying “no” “no”…

Then he kept lifting his head up making a squeak noise and so I looked up there to find this:

It was so far up I needed to get the tweezers to get it…

Why oh WHY must the boys insist on shoving stuff UP there NOSE?

I had a total flashback of Kaidin at Bode’s age shoving

a “spill the beans game bean” up his nose and

the Fire Department coming to the house get it out.

It was WAY up in there and took them forever to get it out.

Lots of laughs were had on that one by the Fire Department and me,

of course after they got the bean out!

BOYS!!!

BEHIND every photo there is a story... this is my story...

Kaidin & his sidekick Cayden started building this LEGO Castle and asked me to help them, so I got comfy on the floor with them and started building, then they stood up and went next door to Caydens house while I sat in a quiet house finishing what was started (that’s what I do you see) THEN the hubby that works from home came out of his office to get a drink out of the kitchen and passed me in the living room on the floor, to find me ALL by myself building this LEGO Castle... AND he says " WOW... Good job babe, I would help you build that up but I actually have a job"... I couldn’t stop laughing and he was seriously looking at me is disbelief that I was really sitting on the floor, by myself, building a castle… what doesn’t everyone??? I kid I kid but it still makes me giggle. With all that said we will be getting more LEGOs soon, now I see why he says “mom, we really need MORE”. Your wish is about to come true buddy!

It seemed like a good idea...

This morning we were all getting ready to start our day when the evil twins, oops, I mean Miya & Bode we running the house as if they owned it and they decide to “play” in our master bathroom. They are not allowed in the back of the house so to get “into” such an area is AWESOME for them. Well they were taking turns slamming each other in the walls and doors ect. I put the baby gate up and grabbed Bode to put them out one at a time as they are getting heavy to carry now together and Miya thought she had this GRAND idea to shut the door and LOCK me OUT. NOT SO GRAND anymore when she couldn’t figure out how to open the door lock. AND really not grand when we couldn’t get her out and or pick the lock. About 20 minutes later we got it open and the look on her face was priceless!  Here are the boys helping daddy try to get her out. Bode was so worried and concerned and daddy couldn’t do it fast enough for him to get his “sissy” out.

This morning was a rough one for Bode and Miya. Bode kept taking toys from Miya (which they do on a daily basis) BUT Miya had had enough so she hunted Bode down to BITE him! Super hard!! AND she won’t let her bite go until we get over to them to break it up. Poor guy he has so many bites all over him.  She spent a few minutes today on the naughty spot but as you can see after the tears wore off she was all smiles.

Today the kids wanted to go out in the backyard really early and it was freezing outside but they did a fair share of “mommy pleases” and I caved. They dressed themselves (with Kaidin’s fashion help) and headed out to play. I took some funny pictures of the super cool outfits they were sporting, loving how Miya was rocking her pink boots, and Kaidin’s 2 sized too small rainboots,  but they were having fun so who cares! Not me that is fo sho! Bode found a cute little snail and he was so proud to show me.  They all 3 came running with HUGE smiles. I went to “look” at what he had in his hand and he closed his hand really tight in the fear that I was going to take it from him and we all heard a loud “CRUNCH”.  In my mommy head I was thinking “oh crap”. Then he opened his hand and poor little snail wasn’t looking so good. You can see Bode’s “OH” face in the last photo. Miya was in total shock and Kaidin had a tear running down his face. He said “mom, you killed him”. I felt so bad and assured Kaidin he was going to be ok. We all let him go back to his family on the bush we found him on… then we all went in the house… The END!

Up My Nose...

Bode has a new thing going on at our house and it’s called “stuff things up my nose”. You have to watch him VERY carefully at feeding time (yes feeding time for him, he is my little tanker!) He will eat anything put on a plate in front of him. My mom babysat the other day and I forgot to tell her his new little trick and she had to pluck a couple peas out of his nose (sorry mom, forgot to give you the warning). Well tonight he got a green bean up there that wasn’t so easy to get out so we had to resort to the tweezers. Here is a picture of him checking out his bean, as if he had no idea how it had got there! UH BOYS!

GIVE me that pencil and WALK away slowly...

OHHHH that little DIVA! She got ahold of Kaidins colored pencils and decided to paint a little mural next to the TV. I was watching her do it too. I was in the kitchen and she was blocked from the entertainment center behind the side view of the TV. I thought she had a car and was running it all over the wall. BUT she kept stopping and looking at me with this BIG smile. So finally after a couple times I was thinking “Hmmm, what is that SMILE for” so I dried my hands in the kitchen and walked on over to her and would you believe she pointed and smiled to show me what she had done. WELL I couldn’t exactly get “mad” at her right??? I mean I sat and watched her do it saying “mommy loves you, yadda yadda yadda”. So we had our little talk and I took the pencil away while she threw herself on the floor throwing her tantrum (we call her the protestor because when all goes bad she throws herself on the ground and won’t move). When she was done we wiped the tears and she took a couple photos for me… Ahhh just another day in the life!



Hmmm... BODE!

This is what was found this morning when the babies got up. Bode was covered in drywall. Mike thought he had gotten into the Triple Paste it was all over! He had to be cleaned ASAP, THEN we asked him what happened. Notice the pointing and look on his face as if he is asking us “what happened”? I swear we feed the kids! Ahhh… where is that spackle! Just another day in the life…

got the kids loaded in the stroller and then got Kaidin out of the car he said… LOOK MOM…

so I looked over to him pointing at his shoes… “It’s my old fashion look, you like it?”.

WHY yes Kaidin, I LOVE it!

Brusha Brusha Doooosss Teefers

Tonight Kaidin had his 6 month teeth cleaning.

He is such a trooper and turning into such a big boy.

Not one complaint and asked her questions the whole time.

No cavities and all looks good.

POOP & Spiders oh my!

While the hubby is away at work he seems to always ask: what do you do all day??? Well hunny, here are just a couple of the fun activities that the kids and I partake in…

OH... why YES that is POOP all over (only showing parts) Bode's crib. This is what I found when waking him from nap time. Although for safety reasons I can not show you what "he" looked like as I had to capture him from his POOP infected finger painting masterpiece of a crib and run without puking to the tub to wash every inch of his tubby buns! OH What??? You don’t do this??? Always a good time had at my house…

While rescuing Bode from his crib I was summoned by Kaidin in a frantic call for help in his room. I ran with camera in hand, from capturing the POOP photos, all to find this DUDE on Kaidin bed. NICE! He was super slow and posed for this photo right before I stunned him with Kaidin’s fire hat then flushed him down the toilet… then after making sure hazmat was clean from my house due to Bode we all went on a spider hunt. I will say it again: Always a good time had at my house…

My 1st Haircut

Today little Kaidin got his “first” haircut.
As always he was such a good boy!

In 6 days he will be 19 months old.
