Off to the NICU they go...

Every year I try to make something for the babies in the NICU here @ Mission as the babies spent so much time there, last year we made picture frames for the nurses to add photos too and take to the moms rooms. This year I used scrap material and some donated to me by my special friend Kristin to make isolate covers (I still have the babies). I didn’t get half as many done as I wanted to get done but my amazing friend Tracy is going to take them with her when she goes to work, she is so special she donates he time to CUDDLE NICU babies.  I am so happy to call the two of them my friends! Thank you girls! Xo

Shes Crafty = Reason, Season, or Lifetime

Tonight was my “Shes Crafty” Party and it was so much fun. Most of all getting to hang out, giggle, eat, drink, talk, be silly, crafty and watch everyone leave with some super cute stuff they made. I was cleaning up after the party thinking about how blessed I am to have such great friends in my life. I may not get to see them all of the time but the moments I spend with them are the best. I heart you all!

PS: (SORRY for the “fuzzy” pictures, it was my camera phone and they were the ONLY ones I had from the night)

Reason, Season, or Lifetime

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When you figure out which one it is,you will know what to do for each person.

When someone is in your life for a REASON,it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty;to provide you with guidance and support;to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend, and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be.Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled; their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON,because your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.Believe it. It is real. But only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons;things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation.Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person, and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life.

It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

"Teacher" Christmas Gift Ribbon Door Wreath

Today I made Kaidin's (my son) Teacher her Christmas gift. He wanted to get or make her something “amazing” (his words). I heart these ribbon wreaths and so we picked out some teacher ribbon and matching funky colors and whipped this up today. It was finished when he came home from school. He was so happy and loves it. He said he hopes his teacher loves it just as much as he does. I love his BIG heart!

I have made several over the year but the original idea and tutorial
came from my friend Jen over at
I changed mine up a big to be a little more simple but I am

Is it really that time?!?! The time that I tell Kaidin “this is your LAST DAY of Preschool”.
I can’t believe that it’s here. My baby boy is growing up and he is beyond ready.
We are so proud of him.
Tonight we needed something to whip up really quick ,

that have his # on them for playdates in the Summer.

Lips & Stach’s printables are HERE

Steelers Digs + Happy Superbowl Day!

I was trying to think of something cute for the kids to wear today to our
Superbowl Party and Kaidin kept on me about how he wanted something different, unique and cool.
Now keep in mind his definitions are a little “different” than mine.
Everything I came up with he looked at and said: NO mom… not like that…
So after a week of debate and compromise with my 4 year old we now have this look…

My lil STEELERS pimp, big STEELERS pimp and lil STEELERS Diva…
these are just part of the outfits, more pictures to come tonight.
Here is to a great day filled with great friends, yummy food, lots of laughs
and a STEELERS WIN… Happy Superbowl…

Valentines for the lil Man

Tonight I made Kaidin’s Valentines for his friends at school.
He wanted something different and cool. Those were his words.
Kind of how he likes to dress himself sometimes…
we just go with it because he is just that cool… well to me he is!
Here are the finished versions of Kaidin's Valentine Suckers
and you can see below where I got my inspiration…

I saw these cute Valentines on one of my favorite blogs:

http://mybabyfaves.blogspot.com/
she had some free Valentines Day printables.
I got the inspiration from the “You Rock! Free Printable” that:

little DIVA’s Christmas dress/tee

Just finished whipping up my little DIVA’s Christmas dress/tee,
it’s so cold and rainy here I think I will add a long sleeve white onesie & jeans under.
That’s pretty much how this little DIVA rolls anyways…
can’t wait to see her running around on Christmas
with her brothers & cousins watching her cute ringlets bouncing away…
she is going to hate that curly hair (she got it from her momma) when she gets older
(see Miya, yo momma is documenting this stuff and
you will be able to read all about it later in our Family BLOG book).

Also a big shout out to Shawna for picking out the fabric…
loves you na na na…

Happy Holidays little school friends...

My little man wanted to “make” something for his friends at preschool for Christmas. So we decide to “make” MAGIC Reindeer food. I am sure you have seen these floating all over BLOGland and with tons of super cute free printable templates making it even easier for the mommy. Just add a little oats, sugar & glitter or colored sugar into a ziplock, add the topper and viola your done. Kaidin is such a sweet caring loving little guy. He always thinks about others and talks about his “school friends” all of the time. I love him for the cute little man he is becoming and I am so proud of him.
Happy Holidays little school friends…
